In 2025, Julio Díaz directed and photographed his first documentary series: CD Valkyrias. This five-episode production, with chapters ranging from 25 to 30 minutes, chronicles the founding and first steps of a new football club in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Produced by Macaronesia Films, the series follows the ambitious vision of the Norwegian Consul in the Canary Islands, who established the club with a clear goal: starting from the grassroots categories to eventually compete at the highest levels of Spanish football. The documentary provides an intimate look at the challenges of building a sports institution from the ground up, capturing the intersection of local passion and international leadership.
