HIJOS DE LA ARENA

Documentary short film commissioned by the Government of the Canary Islands Sports Department.

In August 2025, a group of Canarian wrestlers traveled to Senegal to compete in a historic event at the National Arena. Facing local athletes in the traditional Laamb wrestling style, this 15-minute documentary captures the intensity, the cultural collision, and the shared spirit of that week.

This short film serves as the prelude to a larger, independent project currently in development: Caminos de Arena. This upcoming feature-length documentary, destined for theatrical release and streaming platforms, will delve deeper into these narratives, expanding the journey to other international destinations such as South Korea to explore the universal language of traditional wrestling.
